BASIC SCIENCES DEPATRMENTS
Basic Sciences Departments consist of
Incipient Biology Department in Ph.D program, Zoology Department in Master's course
and Statistics Department in Bachelors course. There are now
204 students studying
at the Department of Statistics 180 female students and 24 male students.
STUDENTS EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Students associations are established
in order to strengthen and promote students creativity, to support collective activities,
to promote and deepen the morale of group cooperation, to provide grounds for students
to exhibit their joy and happiness, to guide and encourage gifted and talented students
to participate in expanding the scientific and research abilities of students association
with the following objectives:
1- Creating suitable grounds for talented students and encouraging creativity and
innovation among students.
2- Establishing extracurricular activities among students.
3- Promoting participation and competition among students in group activities and
strengthening their educational relationship with lecturers.
4- Identifying outstanding students and benefiting from their participation to promote
the scientific level of the university
5- Benefiting from the students' scientific capabilities to strengthen the university
relationship with various layers of the society and administration.
6- Familiarizing students with professional problems and preparing them for job-creating
and finding suitable positions.
Students associations of the USC are established by the students who are enthusiastic
to participate in extracurricular activities in each department. The active students
associations are:
Students association of Statistics, students association of Management, students
association of Psychology, students association of Accounting, students association
of Law, students association of Civil Engineering, students association of Industry,
students association of Computer, students association of Painting, students association
of Fabric and Clothing Designing, and students association of Graphics.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
One of the objectives of cultural activities
at universities and higher education institutes is to promote the level of students'
participation in issues that are indirectly related to their educational issues.
Students' cultural-artistic activities can play a very important role in making
students enthusiastic and joyful and can create an appropriate atmosphere for the
emergence of permanent human-social virtues. Thus, various issues such as establishing
cultural-artistic circles and associations, performing cultural, artistic, and religious
ceremonies, and implementing cultural and athletic contests and competition among
students are all considered as cultural activities of the university.
STUDENTS CULTURAL CIRCLES
Students cultural circles are active in
order to respond to the various requirements and to promote cultural creativities
of students, to organize the inherent cultural-artistic demands of students, to
support and guide such activities in order to achieve human-Islamic values, to promote
the level of social cooperation, and to expand and deepen the culture of participation
in university issues, to establish and strengthen the civil and non-governmental
organization, and to regulate the area of students cultural activities at universities.
These circles are active in various fields such as studying the Holy Quran and the
Descendants, literature, movies and photography, music, dramatic arts, visual arts,
handicrafts, culture and thoughts (cultural studies, the dialogue of civilizations,
tourism), and social issues such as environment, social disorders, social aid and
so on.
At present, the active cultural circles of the USC are:
-Noor cultural circle, Tanin cultural circle, Books and Book Reading circle, Drama
club, Music club, Visual Arts circle, Students Have Your Say circle, Language circle,
Poetry and Literature circle, and Film and Photography circle. |
